  1. Every form needs exactly one field mapped to Email — that's the join key a submission is matched against. Map other fields onto a contact's name, phone number or mobile number, an existing or brand-new custom property, or a consent checkbox.

    Mapping to "New custom property" creates the property the first time the form is saved, using the label you give the field.

Good to know
  • A submission advances a Subscriber to Lead — it never moves an existing MQL, SQL or Customer backwards.
  • The "Allowed domains" list under Settings only restricts the public API, not the hosted page or iframe embed — leave it empty if you only use those.
  • A hidden field is filled from the form URL's query string (e.g. ?utm_source=...) and is never shown to the visitor.
  • To serve the hosted page from your own hostname, add a custom domain under Settings → Custom domains, tick Hosted forms for it, and once it is Active choose it as the base URL. The Share tab then switches to the new address.
