If a platform needs something before it can connect at all — credentials it has never been given, or a connection made before a newer permission existed — a "Before this works" box at the top of Connectors says so in plain words. An empty space there means you are clear to connect.
Anything it names about credentials is a job for engineering, not something you can fix from this screen.
Good to know
- Connections are per brand, so each brand connects its own ad accounts.
- A Meta connection made before ad audiences existed can read spend but cannot upload an audience — reconnect it here once and it picks up the extra permission.
- Some data sources are configured by engineering rather than self-serve, and simply appear as synced properties on records.
- “Data through” and “Last run” answer different questions. “Last run” is when Zenia last went and looked; “Data through” is how far through the source’s own history it has read. A quiet source that nothing has changed in leaves “Data through” sitting in the past even though the sync ran a minute ago — that is normal, not a stalled connection.
- The marketing calendar is connected separately, under Settings → Marketing calendar. It is one workbook for the whole tenant rather than a per-brand connection, because a single sheet carries every brand’s plan.
